Steel Drums Unlimited is a small one man business in Morgantown, West Virginia dedicated to bringing you the best quality steel drums for a great price. Our instruments are all hand made in Trinidad and Tobago by my good friend Barry Yates, of the Renegades Steel Band, and his team of builders and tuners. Barry and his team build these great drums from start to finish. They source the raw materials from local factories, sink, groove, fire and tune the drums, and then ship them off to me.
It all started in 2003, when I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Trinidad and Tobago. I spent about 6 months on the Island. In this time, I learned the history of island and its people, the history of their famous Carnival celebrations, and the evolution of the steel drum. I learned how the instrument was built, why it was built, and how important it was to Trinidad. I worked with builders to experience first hand all of the labor that is involved in building these drums with no power tools at all. I was fortunate to learn about the social – political history of Trinidad at the same time as working with several different steel drum makers. The Steel Drum is closely linked to history of the people of this nation and shows how great things can come from some of the most adverse of situations. I became good friends with several fine builders and tuners, who are now managing teams of builders to supply Steel Drums Unlimited.

Shipping Policies
It is our policy to ship drums within 7 days of recieving an order. We ship with USPS priority mail. We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you need your drum more quickly, we are happy to accomodate you with express shipping. We can offer Overnight Express Shipping, but we need notification of this need. Please call us if you have questions about delivery time.
It is important to note that USPS only offers a delivery confirmation #, NOT a tracking #, so you cannot track your package once it is shipped. It is also important to note that the USPS confirmation # system is very often faulty. It only works if the delivery persons read the bar code. Often they do not.

Return Policies
It is our goal at Steel Drums Unlimited to get you the best drum for your needs the first time you place your order. If you are unsure about what drum is best for you, PLEASE call us so that we may help you in person. We can be reached at 304 291 6022.
If you are unhappy with your order, it is our policy to first try to find you the product that will make you happy and exchange the items. We will not charge a restocking fee for this process, but you are responsible for the shipping costs. If you feel that there is no possible exchange that would make you happy, we can refund the purchase cost of the drum. There will be a 15% restocking fee for all returns, and we do not refund the cost of shipping. Refunds will be granted within 10 days of recieving the item in like new condition. Please understand that we are charging 15% because of the cost of having the drum "tune checked" to make sure that the next customer has a properly tuned drum.
